The parish council is deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected death of Cllr Michael Bridges on 24th March 2024. Michael will be missed as a very valuable and active councillor, his knowledge of Bretby’s history and attention to detail was always much welcomed.
Michael was dedicated to Bretby, having served as a parish councillor for over 30 years and participated in the organisation of many activities within the parish, notably being a key organiser for the social events to commemorations of the jubilees and the coronation.
Our sincere thoughts and condolences go to Michael’s partner Liz and long term friend Sue and their wider family and friends.
